QOOM exposes eight production-ready assessments. "Production-ready" means three things are true at once: the exercise spec is marked complete, an analysis pipeline is registered for it, and the metric registry holds reference distributions so at least some of its metrics can be graded.
Production assessments
| Assessment | Module id | Metrics with reference distributions | Evidence levels present |
|---|---|---|---|
| Squat | squat | 10 | approximate (8), unvalidated (2) |
| Countermovement Jump (CMJ) | cmj | 10 | approximate (9), consensus (1) |
| Drop Vertical Jump | drop_vertical_jump | 7 | approximate (6), consensus (1) |
| Treadmill Running | treadmill_running | 5 | approximate (3), consensus (1), unvalidated (1) |
| Treadmill Walking | treadmill_walking | 4 | approximate (2), consensus (1), unvalidated (1) |
| Single-Leg Hop | hop | 4 | approximate (4) |
| Cut / Change of Direction | cut | 4 | approximate (4) |
| 505 Agility Test | 505 | 4 | approximate (4) |
Two notes on reading this table:
- The count is metrics that have a reference distribution, not the number of metrics the assessment reports. Every assessment reports more metrics than it grades — an ungraded metric is still measured and shown, just without a green / yellow / red zone.
- The legacy report path carries three further graded metrics under the module id
acl_hop, which predateshop.
Reference data version in use: 2026-08-09.1.
Each production assessment has:
- Full capture support through the mobile app.
- Automated metric extraction from two-angle video.
- Range validation that excludes corrupted or out-of-range values.
- Green / yellow / red grading against documented thresholds, where the evidence supports a grade.
- Insight highlights (wins and risks).
- Structured recommendations with training objectives and exercise categories.
- Progress evaluation against previous sessions.
Evidence levels
Every threshold in the registry carries an evidence level. It describes how far that threshold can be trusted, and it is deliberately conservative:
- `published` — values traceable to a peer-reviewed population study. No metric currently qualifies. The level is reserved for future tiers.
- `consensus` — anchored to a recognised clinical guideline or expert-consensus cutoff. Values are approximate, but the cutoff is citable.
- `approximate` — derived from informal literature ranges or general-adult estimates, and not validated against a specific cohort. This is the current default for most metrics.
- `unvalidated` — a two-point estimate or an explicitly inferred value. The evidence gate refuses to grade on these.
So a zone on a QOOM report is a comparison against the best reference declared for that metric — not a claim that the threshold is a validated clinical cutoff. Where the evidence does not support a grade, the metric is reported without one.
In development
These modules have capture and analysis support but no reference distributions, so they produce metrics without grading:
- Overground walking
- Overground running
- Range of motion (ROM)
- Heavy bag punching
- Olympic weightlifting
Sit-to-stand sits between the two groups: two of its metrics have reference distributions, but it is not yet exposed as a production assessment.
Threshold sources
Each threshold in use is documented in our internal THRESHOLDS.md file with:
- The source type
- Specific limitations and known gaps
- Reference to the underlying data or rationale
See How thresholds were chosen for the public-facing explanation.
