What QOOM is (and is not)

A movement analysis support tool for qualified professionals — not a medical device.

Last updated April 17, 2026

QOOM is a software platform for capturing, processing, and visualizing human movement data. It is designed to support qualified movement professionals — such as physical therapists, athletic trainers, strength and conditioning coaches, and sports scientists.

What QOOM does

  • Records movement from two smartphone cameras using a guided calibration workflow.
  • Processes video through automated analysis modules (Gait, Squat, ACL Hop, Countermovement Jump).
  • Produces structured metrics, visual summaries, grades, recommendations, and progress evaluations.
  • Tracks assessments over time per subject.

What QOOM does not do

  • QOOM is not a medical device. It has not been cleared or certified by any regulatory body for diagnosis, treatment, or prevention of disease.
  • It does not diagnose injuries, prescribe treatments, or make clinical decisions.
  • Metrics and grades are computational outputs based on algorithmic analysis of video data. They are not validated clinical findings.
